Behind the Words
WordCove takes your brilliant ideas and makes them shine. We specialize in executive ghost writing, editing and PR consulting for CEOs and business owners in professional service industries. What does that mean? We help attorneys, physicians, consultants, professional speakers and other thought leaders get the attention they deserve. We love smart businesses. In fact: the smarter, the better.
LuAnn Glowacz serves as WordCove’s principal. She is an Austin, Texas-based public relations strategist and business writer. With 15 years’ experience at agencies and in non-profit, technology and healthcare PR, LuAnn is perhaps best known for questioning traditional public relations tactics and helping non-PR entrepreneurs unleash their inner PR know-how. She was featured in Mashable’s “The Future of Public Relations and Social Media,” was named one of “100 PR People Worth Following on Twitter” by Conversation Agent, and served as a SXSW Interactive panelist debating epic social flubs.
LuAnn’s career highlights include assisting KVUE in filming a bone marrow transplant at Cook Children’s Medical Center, serving as the communications manager for the Lone Star Emmy Award-winning community event Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project, and bringing the value of legacy planning to the readers of Money Magazine and The New York Times.
These days, LuAnn prefers writing and editing in her slippers over speeding to early morning TV interviews. She ghost wrote Cut Your Tax in 2010 (New Year Publishing) and is a contributing author of Lost Lessons From Life on the Farm by Gregory Bloom. More recently, she served as the editor of IGNITE: Setting Your Organization’s Culture on Fire with Innovation, the latest book by Randal C. Moss and David J. Neff. With WordCove, she spends her days ghost writing blog posts, reports, case studies, op eds and contributed articles–managing a great team of fellow writers when needed–for some of the top business owners in Austin and throughout the country.
Over the years, LuAnn has served as a guest speaker and panelist for several organizations and events including SXSW Interactive, BlogathonATX, Austin Content Marketing Tweetup, GetSmart, IABC Brazos Valley, Social Media Breakfast, and Texas State University’s PRSSA and Mass Communications Week, and has been a guest speaker/lecturer at Concordia University and St. Edward’s University.
LuAnn is a volunteer mentor for Women Communicators of Austin and a co-host of the organization’s Careers Over Coffee networking group. She also volunteers with Freelance Austin.

“LuAnn is extremely talented and a sincere pleasure to work with. Often times I’ve wanted to hire her as a writer on various projects and she is always in such high demand and sadly… booked! Bottom line, if you are lucky enough to get her on your team, be grateful! She is phenomenal. Extremely intelligent, creative, and strategic.” – Marta, filmmaker and marketing strategist
